"J2" SERIES - BRAKE SHOE LINERS. 25% Tenoid

We have been in communication with Messrs. Ferodo Ld. with a view of getting them to cancel the undelivered outstanding balance of Brake Shoe Liners for the above series, and have received a reply to the effect that the whole of the liners are completed.

So far as the Front Brake Shoe Liner G.74250 is concerned, the total quantity is 960, value £80.0.0. These can be used up by the Repair Dept., as they were first used on "D2" Series, therefore there are approximately 1200 cars fitted with this type of liner.

With regard to the Rear Brake Shoe Liners G.74743, the position is not so favourable. The total quantity is 1800 and the value £153.15.0. These are of recent design and were first fitted on "G2-B" and "H2" series, the total number of chassis being 350. These are likely to be on our hands a much longer period than the Front Brake Shoe Liners.

So far as "Tenoid" Liners manufactured by Morgan Crossley & Co. are concerned, our liability to them for orders on which we have asked them to suspend work is as follows:-

Part. Piece No. ok Undelivered. Value.
Front B.S.Liner. G.77082. R25 225. £11.14.4.
Rear B.S.Liner. G.77083. Mic 600. £33.15.0.
