re Exide Battery - Chassis 36-YE X607 Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} c. to E.F.C. (Struck through) Copy to E.F.F. D/BP/HF{H. W. Frost - Coachwork Inspector}13/B23.1.23 (Stamp: RECEIVED JAN 26 1923) Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}11/NJ18.1.23, we understand the 2 volt cell has been returned to The Chloride Co. for repairs. When this is returned to the Works, we will issue instructions to despatch same/to The Central Motor & Repair Works, Penarth. As regards the remainder of the battery, we have pointed out to The Central Motor & Repair Works, that from the condition of the cell returned, the remaining cells may be requiring attention, and that they should be carefully inspected and if necessary attended to. We have given them the address of Messrs. W. Lewis & Sons (Cardiff) Ltd. Clare Street, Cardiff (Chloride's Agents), and suggest that they allow these people to examine the battery. We wrote them to this effect on December 18th last, but so far have had no reply. D.B.P. | ||
