SHOWROOMS ENQUIRIES

Mr. La{L. A. Archer} Montagne
Called in and wanted to have news of his Bentley chassis. We told him that everything was proceeding normally. Mr. La{L. A. Archer} Montagne also mentioned that he was afraid that the clutch and brake pedals were too near to one another and he felt that in his case this would be rather a dangerous matter. We did not quite know what to tell to this gentleman and he said that he would be calling at Conduit Street shortly. Undoubtedly he will mention the same matter to you.

CALLS MADE

Mr. Simoez
I called at the Garage Marbeuf and whilst there I happened to see the R.R. car registration N°AXO 400 about which we have written to London. It appears that this body is identical to that of Mr. Arathoon's car . We shall endeavour to show it to Mme Simoez.

Mr. Baring
Westminster Bank
I called round at the Westminster Bank and having seen Mr. Laurent, driver to Mr. Baring, it was arranged that we would show him 66-GN Mme Komaroff on Tuesday morning. This car seems to be just the think that this gentleman is looking for. (EWP{Mr Punt})

Mr. Marcel Michelin
As arranged I picked up Mr. Marcel Michelin on Friday evening and after inspecting the car and checking petrol etc. we left for Clermont-Ferrand. All along the road Mr. Michelin became more and more enthusiastic. Several stop watch readings gave him the desired result; in fact we covered 4 kms at an average speed of 138 kms an hour. On several occasions 25 kms were covered at an average speed of 122 kms. This latter average was considered by Mr. Michelin to be remarkable owing to the presence of villages.
