A further crankshaft should be made to SCD.1043, otherwise to EB.4487 which is R.R. balance weight crank with modified drilling and incorporates a spigot for the flexible flywheel.

A further crank should also be produced to EB.4487 which has R.R. balance weights and incorporates a spigot for the flexible flywheel. These two cranks will fit either No.1, 2 or 3 units, making a total of 6 cranks in all.

SPRING DRIVE. No.2 and 3 UNITS.

In accordance with memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}9/MH.{M. Huckerby}9.12.38.

No.4 UNIT.

Spring drive to SCD.1043.

CONNECTING RODS.

Complete sets as instructed in our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}17.11.38.

PISTONS.

No.4 Unit to have raised crown pistons PD.304.

A spare set should be ordered at the same time.

CYLINDER HEADS.

No. 2 and 3 units to incorporate PD.292 transfer throat modification and have .070 machined off the face.

No. 4 unit. As No.2 and 3 but not machined on face. a similar spare head should be made.

The cylinder head which was damaged on endurance to be recovered and modified to PD.334 for further tests on No.1 unit.
