Phantom III Defective Brakes Complaint. With reference to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}15/MH.{M. Huckerby}24.9.36, the last time we spoke to you about the Ph.III brakes was after Frazer had turned round in front of a level crossing, and as far as we can recollect your complaint was that the front brakes were too effective and caused diving. It would now appear that the complaint is that the brakes are not sufficiently effective. Such contradictory information is not very helpful in indicating what design modification is required.
