(11) A day was spent in correcting faults in the servo.

(12) Measurements were taken on the Weighbridge to determine the actual front spring rate. This is lower than it should be, and new springs have been ordered.

(13) Friction in the steering was reduced and sponge was introduced to improve the handling.

(14) The high front engine mounting and a rear mount on the side members, instead of the cross, were fitted.

(15) Refitted rubber shackles for suspension noise over pot holes and setts.

(16) Since then work has been done by modifications to the engine mounting, and considerable use of noise-insulating material, to reduce the fuss and noise in the car. This has included fitting the frame side members with felt, and also damping every feasible part of the side members with felt held in position by wooden boards and clamps. Simultaneously with this work we have carried out static deflection tests on all the available types of engine mounting to determine which to use.
