2 Messrs. Ricardo & Co. (1927) Ltd., the following clearances are necessary :- Minimum - 0.0012/inch diameter. Maximum - 0.00155/inch diameter. Preferred - 0.00135/inch diameter. We trust that this information will be of interest to you, and should you require bearings made of this material we shall ebe pleased to receive the sizes or drawings from which we could work for the production of either the finished article, or rough machined, for you to finish machine at your own Works. Regarding the head ring and the machining of grooves, we very much regret that this is going to take longer than the writer promised you. You will appreciate that this is a tool-room job, and the writer finds that due to the amount of work to receive attention in the Tool Room, to take the job in sequence would actually be a matter of over a month, but we are breaking down some urgent work to get this through at the earliest possible moment. More than this we cannot at the moment state, as it may be ten or twelve days before we are able to get the job through. You may rest assured, however, that this will be given the writer's personal attention, and we will do everything to get the job away with the least possible delay. Assuring you of our best attention and service at all times, We are, dear Sirs, Yours faithfully, For WELLWORTHY PISTON RINGS LTD., Technical Manager. | ||
