J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Howlett, Esq.,
Wellworthy Piston Rings Ltd.,
Lymington, HANTS:

Dear Mr. Howlett,

When you left the list with me the other day of people to whom you are supplying bearings, I noticed there was a number of Companies mentioned of which we have not previously heard, in particular I refer to Albions, Gardners and Bristol Tramway Co.

We are particularly interested in being kept in touch with the applications which are being made for the aluminium bearing alloy as, of course, in a way, these dictate the experimental work which we do.

We are now perfectly satisfied with the alloy on soft shafts as big ends, but it will take longer to be able to pass a considered opinion on main bearings since these are more susceptible to foreign matter and a good deal of road running is really imperative to form accurate conclusions.

Yours sincerely,
