REPORT ON U.S.A. SHOW.

One of the items we asked Lov.{Mr Lovesey} to look into in U.S.A. was the G.M. new scheme of body ventilation. If they have a successful scheme of ventilation to avoid draughts, it will be one of the biggest improvements which has been made for years, and one which will appeal to the passengers (frequently the owner). We are sending the pamphlets describing this to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and assume they will be passed on to Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}

We recommend we immediately fit a car up with this scheme and try it. We may be able to borrow at once a Buick fitted with this scheme, if so we ought to do so.

Owing to the tariffs and rate of exchange, and "Buy British", very few of the latest U.S.A. cars find their way over here, and therefore we do not meet them as competitors. It is plain to see by the technical journals, and the Lov.{Mr Lovesey} report, there is still a tremendous amount of development work and research going on.
