Lucas Wipers
-------

Referring to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}4/JH.3.5.38, we have been quoted 25/- nett by Lucas as the price S.W.4. wiper in quantities of about 200 but believe we should have no difficulty in getting the figure down to 22/6d and may even succeed in getting Lucas to take an order for 100 at this lower figure.

But before going any further with the matter we should like to know please whether your recent experience has been such that you would wish to modify the information contained in your earlier memo.

On some cars we have heard of trouble with the plating of the blades and arms.

Trouble has, in fact, developed with these on the writer's 'Minx' which is only four months' old. Although during this four months there has been very little rain the exposed parts of the wiper appear to have rusted in spite of the plating and the rust cannot be cleaned off.
