Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} To C. from CJ. Copy to PN.{Mr Northey} CWE. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} 49940 CJS/E16/9/24 It is very desirable that some cars should be available before the Show to give demonstrations to Press-men of the 4 wheel brakes. The 4 wheel brakes are considered to be quite satisfactory for this purpose. The only question which is open for decision is whether the 12 1/2% springs as recently specified by R.{Sir Henry Royce} will stand up to fast work on the French roads. This can be determined afterwards but there is nothing to prevent Press demonstrations being given before the Show, provided that we have cars properly fitted. Please go into this question with the Works as soon as possible. CJ. | ||
