Attention of Mr Thompson.

Dear Sir,

Re: Front Wings 2.B.5. and 1.B.50.

With reference to our telephone conversation with you this afternoon, we would like to confirm the following remarks:-

1.B.50.

These wings were made for a sloping radiator which is now abandoned. To apply them to the revised radiator which is nearly vertical, one deletes the integral apron, and lowers the height of the cat-walk to the shape already given to you on the drawing. The spare wheel has not been moved, and the general side contour of the wing need not be changed. It would appear to us that it should be possible to cut off the inside of the wing and weld on a new shaped piece, forming the valance joining the crown of the wing to the bonnet valance strip.

2.B.5.

Our instructions for 2.B.5. were, that the wings were to be front and rear entirely new, and of the latest pattern as proposed by Sales for the standardised Bentley, and of which we sent you a drawing. We do not see how you can adopt your proposal of sending these wings to us for 1.B.50, firstly, because they are of the wrong shape, and secondly, because the overall front width of the B.50 front wings, is something like 3" greater.

Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}
