PHANTOM II SPARE WHEEL CARRIERS.

X.7600
X.4050

Thank you for By2/G24.10.29.

We are surprised to find that the centre of the wheel carrier is 1" too low for the buttress tread Dunlop 33 X 6½ tyre, as from consideration of the geometry this means that the wheel is from 2½" to 3" greater in dia. than the silent tread Dunlop of the same nominal dimensions.

If this is so we ought to reconsider our coachwork clearances, when, and if, these tyres are likely to be fitted.

Could you send us a drawing of the silent tyre, and also the buttress tread tyre giving the overall diameters, so that we can consider the whole question of fitting these tyres to a car.
