is attached to this report, shows the exact arrangement.

There has been some query with regard to the torsion spring which has been fitted on the choke spindle and which we believe interferes with the position in which you wish to put the control lever. This torsion spring can be dispensed with.

2. Automatic Choke.

The automatic choke has not yet been finalised. The most up to date information regarding it is as follows:-

(a) The bi-metal strip is located in the side of the induction pipe.
(b) It is connected to the choke as shown in the attached photograph.
(c) It functions as set out in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}7/H.6.3.40.

3. Carburettor Specification.

The carburettor used is an AAV.25 carburettor 1- 1/32 choke specification as outlined in the Stromberg sheet submitted to you. The mechanical control between the throttle spindle and the choke spindle mentioned in your Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}7/JH.29.3.40. may be deleted. The modifications necessary to the carburettor itself are outlined in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CRS.9/PL.19.2.40.

6-CYLINDER ENGINES.

1. Throttle Control.
The controls for 6-cyl. engines should be as much like those specified as being fitted to 11.P.V. as possible, having regard to the fact that the carburettor is turned through 90 deg.

2. Automatic Choke.
The automatic choke should be as specified and illustrated in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}7/DH.{D. Henderson - Showroom}6.3.40.

3. Carburettor Specification.

The carburettor is an A.V.1. throttle body
