PHANTOM III.

Experimental Down-draught Induction System for Existing Cylinder Heads.
------------------------------------

We send you herewith LeC 4739 which is a modification of LeC 4719 of the four port induction pipe on the six port head which has already been issued.

The modification consists of making the induction pipe in two pieces instead of a single piece so that either two separate carburetters or a Duplex carburetter can be fitted. By this means the part of the induction pipe which bolts direct on to the cylinder head will be common to both induction systems, and it will be possible to test out the proposed final scheme, which has not yet been issued, of a Duplex carburetter and a single hot box with the 4 half induction pipes leading out from it.

We should be pleased if you would send prints of this LeC to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swindell in addition to the usual prints.

E/PSN.

Att:LeC.4739.
