[Signatures] NOTES ON CONFERENCE HELD MONDAY, MAY 10TH, 1937. P.III. (1) It was decided to fit a Long clutch plate like the one fitted in the American Trials car in Chassis 3.AZ.186. Expt. Dept. to write to C. to say that this plate is available, and make arrangements for fitting it. (2) A specification of 32-EX for its run in France is to be sent to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Ics (3) We should try Duprene packing for the damper glands on R.R. shock absorbers. (4) Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} suggests that we should investigate having an air flow round the radiator matrix as on American cars to obtain a lower under bonnet temperature. (5) RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} will let us know when the Wraith wheel movement can be introduced on production. (6) Softer road springs should be brought up for discussion at the Conference with Depot Officials. [Signature] AHo (7) We should obtain from Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} the carburetter from Sir John Leys' car, which has twice given trouble through flooding. Worst Features. (a) Clutches - both judder and squeal. (b) Oil. consumption 25/30. FJH{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} (1) We should check up on the condition of 25/30 steerings which have been removed from customers' cars, and decide whether it is necessary to change the steerings on all the 200 odd cars originally intended.
