EFC. WC.112. 21.6.28. TUNGSTEN CONTACT RIVETS. We have now tested for 100 hours on the bench six specially riveted tungsten contact breaker levers for the battery ignition. The feature of these rivets is the increased amount of riveting metal and the addition of a shoulder to support the riveting operation, etc. All these six levers have gone through the test satisfactorily and do not exhibit any signs of looseness (tested with special tool) or bad contact. Also we have tested for 10,000 miles (350 hours) the three soldered rivets (see WC.105) as requested by EY. and find them to be equally satisfactory. EFC/H.E.West. | ||
