RE AMERICAN CRANKSHAFTS. ------------------------ Will you kindly arrange to hand over to EH, one American Crankshaft made by the Halcomb Steel Co, Ltd. The object of handing same to EH, is to enable him to run a test on this particular type of steel, in order to ascertain whether he could break the crank in a similar manner to the first three American cranks he tested out. This matter is of great importance, in view of the fact that it is being suggested we should use American material for producing the commercial Eagle engines which have now been instructed to the works.
