Messrs.Joseph Lucas Ltd.,
Great King Street,
Birmingham, 19.

For the attention of Mr.R.N.Neill.

Dear Sirs,

We have noticed on one of our experimental Bentley chassis that when the F.100 headlamps are arranged for vertical dipping the reflector does not rest against the buffer in the dipped position but actually the rim fouls the internal fittings connected with the snap on arrangement for the lamp front.

Will you kindly look into this question for us as obviously the operation of the dipper is much noisier.

The lamps in question are being returned to you to-daye for reconditioning after 20,000 miles running on the Continent.

The fog lamps also fitted to this car shewed signs of ingress of water and as this lamp is mounted low down this question should also be investigated.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
