S/W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} COPY. 861161 Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}4/KW5.9.34. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} informs me that Hancock criticizes our headlamps and particularly the dimming arrangements, which he says are inferior to those used on French headlamps. I wonder if you can please tell me what lamps Hancock is referring to, that is to say, are they the P.100 Lucas type which are standard on 40/50 R-R's, or is he referring to the lamps at present standard on the 20/25 R-R or those onthe Bentley ? Also, I have no information as to the nature of the way in which they are inferior. In the meantime Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} suggests that we might usefully ask Wst to discuss the matter with Hancock with a view to getting English lamp manufacturers to investigate the French schemes. | ||
