" Silver Ripple " and 1 RT 1 Chassis.

PL.3016 Strengthened Dynamo Support Bracket.

Reason for Scheme :- The existing design of support bracket to PL.116 and a strengthened type fitted by FJH{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}/RC{R. Childs} to 1 RT 1 have failed, as reported in memo Wym{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}/C.Lee.1/OH. 25.1.44 one of the lugs having broken off.

Other schemes used in conjunction - None.

Description of Scheme:- The construction of the support bracket has been redesigned.

Major Parts affected :- None.

Effect on Interchangeability. The crankcase requires restudding to accomodate the thicker support bracket, and the dynamo bolts are modified. The following standard parts are required accordingly:-
KB.753 Stud - Bracket to Crankcase - 2 off
KB.751 Stud - " " " - 2 off
KB.2806 Bolt - Bracket to Dynamo - 1 off

Instructions :- Sufficient information is provided on the scheme for Wym{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} to produce 1 set of parts for fitment to 1 RT 1 to replace the previous design. Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/HH can therefore detail the scheme when convenient.

Remarks:- 1 set of parts to be fitted to 1 RT 1. Will Wym{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} please treat this memo as an instruction in lieu of the usual issue from Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/HH.
