SPECIFICATION FOR EXPANDING CARBURETTER (P.II)

The expanding carburetter which has been run in France on 19-EX was built to Lec.3026, LOP.E.83075 with the exception of the following.

Semi-expanding carburetters being built for other than experimental work to similar specification to the carburetter on 19-EX.

(1) Suction piston and chamber to Scheme I Lec.3029.
This was built to Ex.drawings. There should be an all round clearance of .0015 to .0020, diametrical clearance .003 to .004 between the piston and its chamber.

(2) Taper needle to V.1406

(3) Actuating rod for main jet to V.1355.

(4) Nut, actuating rod for main jet to V.1356

(5) Diffuser body to V.1407

(6) Petrol feed hole into slow running passage shown on V.1405. This drawing also shows extended low speed jet which should be included.

(7) 24 S.W.G. - .022" thick floats.

(8) Latest slow running plug to Lec.3132.

(9) Three thicknesses of coiled 16 S.W.G. copper gauze between air intake body and the outer tube.
