R.R. SEMI-EXPANDING CARBURETTER

We have had various stages of this carburetter running on experimental cars.

The point has now arrived where it is necessary to settle the specification if any of these carburetters are to be produced. Attached is the specification of the carburetter which ran 10,000 miles on 19-EX. We can say that this is a satisfactory carburetter.

There have been a considerable number of subsequent modifications such as alterations to the air valve, jet control etc. and we have just got an experimental carburetter built up containing these modifications. We also know that in a very short time we shall have a carburetter with larger air valve. We propose that all the modifications shall be incorporated in the larger carburetter because it is too difficult to deal with them separately.

The carburetter as run on 19-EX is the best we have available and we are fitting one of this type to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car 58-GN.
