J.3 AND PEREGRINE IGNITION COIL We should be glad if you will have instructed for us a further two coils of the new type outside primary complete in their cases. We have found the coil we have been testing is very satisfactory and we now wish to try this complete in its case. We think for the moment the windings are about right but we would like the magnetic circuit to be altered by deleting the iron slats round the outside of the coil and substituting them with a simple iron sheath rolled round the outside of the coil. Our tests show that an appreciable increase in secondary output with reduction in primary current is effected with this method of completing the magnetic circuit on the outside of the coil.
