S/W Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 4407 Confidential. URGENT. C13/C17.6.24. Re Mercedes Car. CJ. advised me that the car having an engine to which a super-charger is fitted is the one we require and nothing else interests us. I informed CJ. that the big Mercedes chassis, which they call a 28/95 Targo Florio model, is not fitted with a super-charger and they only fit the super-charger to their smallest models. Apparently they make two smaller models, which they call:- 16/60..chassis price £1040, R.A.C. rating I believe about 14.9 12/40..chassis price £775, R.A.C. rating about 11.9. The complete cars with 4-seater bodies cost respectively £1320 and £950. Will you please let me know which of these two you would prefer. Would the smaller one be suitable for your purpose - you will notice the prices are very high? I will then put it up to CJ. for his authority. Would you want a chassis, or a complete 4-seater? I enclose catalogue herewith. C. | ||
