| -6- Body Front Floor.- Body front floor to be covered on top and round the edges with ¼ in. Felt. Rear Floor and Foot Wells.- These to lined with ¼in.felt firmly stuck on with rubber solution or bituminous cement. The rear carpet to be bound integral with a mat consisting of ¼ in. felt stuck on a layer of thin rubber protected on the underside with a cloth lining. Rear Seat Board.- The base of the seat below the tool drawer is to be of sheet aluminium swaged to prevent drumming, firmly screwed down at 3 ins.intervals on to a felt insert. The aluminium to have stuck to its upper surface a layer of ¼ in.felt. Inspection covers are to be provided as shown on our drawing. Luggage Boot Floor.- This is to be of sheet steel .048” thick, suitably swaged and having the requisite inspection holes as shown on LeC 4382. The small rear floor to be of plywood. The top of the whole to be covered with “felt cemented on, and then as previously stated, the linoleum sheet or rubber matting to take the wear of the luggage. Rear Squab Board.- to be covered on both sides with ¼” felt stuck on, and at the rear finally with a lining fabric. Sunshine-roof Shield.- Lined inside with Silento felt to stop drumming. Window Noises. 1. Sunshine roof front joint to have an angle on the screen rail lapping over the front edge of the slide. The front corners of the sunshine roof opening to be rounded by a liberal radius. The front edge of the sunshine roof shield to have either Sorbo or rubber tube attached to it so that when the roof is closed an airtight seal is made. 2. Front door screen pillars to have alip at the door jamb to deflect the air off the door joints. 3. Sorbo rubber welt to be imprisoned in the gap between the door and hinged pillars. 4. Door welts to be of large roll Sorbo covered with cloth to prevent air leaks causing wind noises and draughts. 5. Metal edging along the runner in the door opening to conceal the edge of the carpet and mat, to press against the carpet on the base of the door to prevent draughts. Contd: | ||
