With regard to the jack failure on this car, we have received the jack at the works and fitted it on a Test Department chassis. It functioned perfectly both as regards raising the car sufficiently to remove a wheel, and also the ram returned in the usual length of time.

The most usual reason why the jacks will not lift the car high enough is lack of oil in the supply tank. Will you let us know whether you checked this up when the car came in, or whether you can say that the system operated properly after merely fitting one new jack.
