Hillman Gearbox fitted in Myth Chassis.

We attach to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH's copy the original of:-

PL.438 Hillman Gearbox fitted in Myth Chassis.

The above scheme has been produced at Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s request and shows the Hillman 14 H.P. gearbox fitted in Myth chassis.

With this project, it will be necessary to produce a diaphragm between the Clutch Casing and the Hillman gear-box. The 1st Motion Shaft of the Hillman box will also require modifying to suit the clutch driving plate flange and the clutch actuating gear.

The rear engine suspension will be similar in design to the Rippletto. It will also be necessary to provide a gearbox extension from the rear of the box to the propellor shaft universal joint. As this box has a central change, the front floor tunnel will require modifying to suit.

It is not intended to do any more work on this project at the moment, if however, we cannot obtain the Junior Range gearbox in time, it may be decided to complete these designs.
