LOW RATED SPRINGS 25 HP.

Replying to PN.{Mr Northey}2/WT14.5.31.

The springs we are proposing to standardise for the 20/25 HP. are those which were fitted to 18-G4. This cae was used by Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} at Easter and you also tried the car at St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Albans.

After many tests, in our opinion the springing on 18-G4. represents a better compromise than the present standard. We do not think for one minute that with the alteration in springing we are not going to have complaints.

We cannot promise you much more from the shock absorbers. The loads of 18-G4. car are higher than the present standard and are what we consider the best compromise for the car.

We are preparing a car with these springs to go to France but before it goes it will be sent to London and you will have a chance of criticising it.

We do not claim to have discovered anything new in springing, because at the same time as we are recommending the fitting of weaker springs we are also busy on the case of customers like Thistlewaite and Fairey, of fixing even stiffer springs than the present standard and when we do this the customers are very pleased.
