X5410. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to PN.{Mr Northey} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} re Low Rated Springs. 20/25. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}5/E15.5.31 Referring to PN{Mr Northey}2/WT14.5.31 from a remark you made when I was at Derby on Thursday last I understand that the springs on the car to which PN{Mr Northey} refers, i.e. our Trials car GLR-59, are of the lower rating that you are proposing to standardise. In fact I understood you to say that you did not regard the springs on GLR-59 as altogether safe and that you wished to change them as soon as possible. I think it is very important that this should be done with the minimum delay so that PN{Mr Northey} and others at Sales can form their opinions from what you really propose to standardise. Would you please let me know how soon springs of the correct rating can be sent to N. for the change to be made. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
