Ph.III. Oil Pressure Filter Gauze E.87841.
Ph.III.No.10 Unit.

33-EX.

This was fitted 9.4.36. and has run 13,920 miles in

Filter element has collapsed in the middle approximately .450" and badly distorted. Gauze coated with heavy sludge so as to block the effective filter area. Collapsing is presumably due to oil pressure building up behind the clogged filter.

Test was run on Price's Motorine "C".
