Messrs. S.U. Co. - Continued.

Ample clearance should then be allowed between the control fork and the needle spool.

(2) The float appears to be small and lacking in power judged by our own standards, and the floatchamber also appears to be on the small side.

(3) The needle does not appear to us to be properly guided. We should say the guide bush ought to be three times the present length but with ample clearance.

(4) No lid{A. J. Lidsey} is shown to the floatchamber in the drawing. We feel that ample provision should be made for fixing and sealing the lid.{A. J. Lidsey}

(5) No stop down is provided for the float, and the total lift of the needle appears to be more than necessary.

(6) The needle valve seat diameter appears small compared with what we are now using with electric petrol pumps. This rather indicates the desirability of a larger float.

Yours sincerely,

From A.G.ELLIOTT.
