X. 8140 S E C R E T. E4/M29.4.25. To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} THROTTLE GOVERNOR CONTROL. We send you herewith LeCs. 2043/51/49. The 2 former shew throttle opening mechanism for 30° throttle movement with roller and cam respectively. These alternative designs are arranged to give the same speed of throttle opening approximately at the beginning and end of the stroke. The curves for this latter are shewn on LeC. 2049 together with large scale drawings of the movements in question. Mr. Royce would like you to make and test both of these. We wish to point out that the mixture control levers should be set .1 as indicated. This leaves more room for the throttle control and yet still sufficient clearance with the body of the air valve. The latest design of throttle closing spring that is considered desirable should be used with these designs. . E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
