Dear Mons. Dubonnet,

We thank you for your letter and the blue prints showing the latest improvement to your suspension system.

The modification appears to us to have considerable advantages over your previous system. We should like to know if you have had any road experience with this scheme.

We imagine this system of linkage will enable you to use a lower rating spring, as the tendency for the car to get into a state of oscillation is reduced, and there is more restraint on the road wheels against large movements.

With regard to our car, on which you are going to fit your suspension system, we hope you are still arranging that front brakes can be fitted later if required. We understand that the parts being made by us are unaffected by this modification to the linkage. We should like parts to be made so that either of the two linkage systems can be fitted.

You will no doubt return the car to us with what you consider the better linkage, but it is quite possible that we may wish to try the alternative linkage.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
