Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 26th inst. (a) Bentley Sparking Plugs. (Handwritten: RS{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}) We note that the sparking points of the X512. should be made similar to the X523. The only difference between these two plugs is a slightly shorter barrel on the X523. The writer finds that the X523. can be fitted quite easily to his 4¼ litre Bentley, and we see no reason for introducing another model, and would suggest that the X523. be used both in your 25/30. car and the 4¼ litre Bentley. We shall be glad to hear from you whether you agree with this. (b) 25/30 h.p. engine Plugs type X525. (Handwritten: RS{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}) We note that you wish to proceed with the testing of the X525., and that you require a dozen. These are in stock and we shall be pleased to despatch on receipt of your order. (c) Aluminium Oxide Insulated Plugs type X515. (Handwritten: LB) (Handwritten note in margin: engine of K.{Mr Kilner} Parkman + C. Conway if these are on test) Please note that we sent you two of the type X515. on the 18th May last. These plugs are marked G129. and G130. We particularly asked you to treat these plugs as confidential and to return them to us at the conclusion of your test.
