*HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 7230 To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By E.H. Exhaust Cut-out on P.II Chassis and Flexible Engine Mounting. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}6/E6.9.34 Referring to E.1/HP.31.8.34 I note that with the flexible engine mounting it is practically impossible to arrange for a satisfactory cut-out. We have already deleted this from the standard P.II, i.e. it is only fitted to the Continental, and we do not feel that it would be a serious matter if it had to be discontinued on this as well. One imagines that the same position will arise with the Bentley when we get to the stage of flexible engine mounting for this chassis and doubtless we shall hear from you about this when the time comes.
