Dear Manning,

With reference to the longer frame about which I wrote to you and your reply that the frame could not be fitted into your presses, do you think it would be a practical proposition to make the frame die suitable for the longer frame, and then have the bigger frames produced by arrangement with someone who has the necessary size of press ?

We do know that we are at present getting frames of this size from Wolverhampton, so there are people in the country with big enough presses. It seems a pity to go to new dies for 6" increase in frame length. We anticipate that it may still be a few weeks before we shall be in a position to tell you to go ahead with the frame dies as we are still in the process of finalising our requirements.

Yours sincerely,
