ROYCE. C. [redacted] Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. 86116. E.S/HP.20.4.36. re Side Lamps. With reference to the special R.R. wing lamps made by Cornercroft, the red light in the tail has now been made satisfactory, but there are still two faults which have to be corrected, one is that the bayonet hole for the lamp is not locked. Although this would probably be satisfactory on Phantom III it may shake loose on Bentley or the 25/30. The other is the difficulty of extracting the front of the lamp for changing the bulb, to overcome which requires a larger bead on the lense mount. We should like to know what is the latest date on which we could accept delivery for these lamps. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
