Contd. -3- EFC1/T20.8.26. temperature-current tests (on 200 volts A.C.) on a condenser of the American Bosch ignition set in which it was shewn to be distinctly leaky and it was at the time compared with condensers of our own manufacture. We have today confirmed that one of these Bosch condensers (never opened) is distinctly more leaky on 200 volts d.c. than our present RR. standard, so the lack of insulation referred to by CY. cannot be called a breakdown and so far as we can see it does not appear to be any disadvantage. We even have some reason to suppose, as explained in our note to CY., that it may be a slight advantage. EFC. | ||
