Colonel Matthew, Head of Chassis Makers' Division of the Dunlop Rubber Co.Ltd., was here last Tuesday, 30th ult. and informed us that arrangements have been made at their Works at Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham, to receive members of staffs of Motorcar Manufacturers and show them the manufacture of balloon cord tyres and also show them practical tests of the behaviour of such tyres in service. Col.Matthew suggested that we should arrange to send members of our staff, at a date to be arranged, to see the manufacture of the tyres and the service tests referred to. I have no doubt you (Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}) will consider it advisable to accept the invitation and if you will let me know what number of members of our staff you consider should go to Fort Dunlop, and the day of the week most convenient, I will ask the Dunlop Co. to fix a date.
