of mud and water as our tests show that
the trouble does not occur in connec-
tion with the "slats" which are used
for getting rid of the hot air from
under the bonnet; that is to say, the
difficulty we have experienced is not
owing to the principle of the device,
and we have every hope of overcoming
them and obtaining a satisfactory scheme.
This is now being pushed forward
as rapidly as possible. The London-
Edinburgh cars will not of course be
despatched until the guards are
satisfactory.
