Dear Sir

I have been recommended to approach you at the instance of Mr. Dalgety Henderson by a mutual friend.

The matter is in connection with a new Infinitely Variable Gear, which has already been patented in all the chief manufacturing countries. A demonstration model has also been made, and satisfactorily proves the theory of the invention to be sound.

I am aware that manufacturers are being bombarded with these gears at the present time. But the great majority of them are obviously impossible and do not conform to the following conditions, which in my opinion, they should, if there is to be any chance of success.

(1) The gear must start at Zero, not a little way in advance.
(2) The gear must be positive
(3) The driven shaft must rotate uniformly with a perfectly circular motion. The torque must be constant. These conditions must obtain throughout all variations from Zero to the maximum.
(4) The Efficiency must be at least 90 %.
(5) The cost must not be greater that the present gear box
