We have now received from these people, details of their claim against us for 28 Rear Springs and 2 Front Springs, specially made and delivered to us for your Department. The amount claimed for these springs, including carriage, is £268.19.2 and this amount corresponds to the total of the prices which would be charged for the same poundages of springs delivered to us for production. In addition to this sum, Woodheads have asked us to contribute £150 towards their out-of-pocket expenses in respect of tools, dies, patterns, special grinding and other extra work. This sum does not appear to be unreasonable and I shall be pleased to learn whether you agree to same being paid. You will note the total claim amounts to £418.19.2, and in the event of your agreeing to same being paid, I shall be glad if you will state the order number against which it must be booked.
