| Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} at W. C.1/MK.16.4.36. Mr. R.{Sir Henry Royce} F.{Mr Friese} Summers. Mr. Summers writes that over the holiday he tried 4 1/4-litre Cars Nos. B.54-GA and B.56-GA recently supplied to the brothers Rollason who are associated with him in business. Below is an extract from his letter:- "The performance of the car is certainly a great improvement on the 3 1/2-litre. The weak point of the car now is springing, which does not compare favourably with the latest type of independent front wheel springing. I notice also that these cars suffer from the same defect as last year's model, that is that it is unpleasant to apply the brakes hard when travelling fast on a bad surface. I also notice that when the accelerator is fully depressed there is an audible rumble from the engine, rather like the noise that emanates from a diesel." I shall be glad to have your comments.
