Dear Dick, Thank you for your letter of April 10th, and also yours of the 14th with copy of note to Bentley Motors, which made me smile. We do not like the rev. counter to go into the red to any appreciable extent, as a matter of fact on the 4¼ litre the power peak is no higher than on the 3½. We should certainly like to take advantage of your offer to lend us the Jaguar for a day or two. We might conceivably be able to make one or two suggestions to turn it into a better motor car. I hope to go over and see it made shortly. As soon as I have got a Phantom III which is a replica of what we are going to sell to customers, I hope to come over and give you all a big thrill!! I really do consider it is the town carriage "par excellence", much though I dislike such vehicles. Kind regards to the family, Yours sincerely, | ||
