COPY. c/o Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Clifford Turner, Branksome Towers Hotel, Bournemouth. Undated. Rec'd 19.5.30. To Captain Hallam, Rolls-Royce Works, Derby. Dear Sir, Re Chassis No. 82-AL. I trust you will excuse me for being so long in giving you Mr. Turner's opinion of the springing of his car. Mr. Turner says he likes the easy springing, but objects to the rolling, and says that the car has not the sure feeling that it used to have. So far I have not exceeded 50 m.p.h. and with full load of passengers and luggage never once has the chassis showed any signs of coming down on the buffers. We suggest that the shock absorbers are made to take a little more than they do at present, as they have a feeling that they are doing nothing. We would welcome any suggestion from you to make the car just what Mr. Turner wants - easy springing with a more stable feeling on the road. I will be pleased to do anything you suggest, and will wait until I hear from you about this. Mr. Turner will be staying here for a fortnight. I remain, Sir, Yours respectfully, (Sgd.) George B. Goodair, For H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Clifford Turner Esq. | ||
