Overheating test on car 73A7 where the water boiled, questioning if this is acceptable for a chassis destined for France.

Birkett - Commercial Manager} YC4240 FROM PN.{Mr Northey} YC4241 20HP When testing 73A7 on Saturday last, we found that if the car was run (testing rig) at 57 m.p.h. continuously for two miles along the flat, the temperature enabled the water to boil with the louvres wide open. The experiment was repeated twice with the same result. The direction of the wind was with the car, but in moving more than 12 - 15 m.p.h. and of course the air was very warm. Would you expect the water to boil under these conditions ? This chassis is one which we have to deliver to France, where it is anticipated the conditions of running may often be very severe.
