EXPERIMENTAL DEPT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Mths.{Reg Matthews}10/JH. 8th June, 1938. Messrs. Light Production Co.Ltd., 60/66 Rochester Row, Westminster, LONDON.S.W.1. For the attention of Mr. Brooks. 1256 Dear Sirs, With reference to the raised crown pistons you are producing for us could you give the writer an approximate date of delivery. With reference to the conversation which took place when the writer visited you the other week concerning the production of some pistons with the flute deleted we should like you to let us have 14 pistons ground to your No.12 cam. On these pistons the heat break sawcuts should be below the scraper ring groove. The dimensions across the major axis should be 5.497 at the top of the skirt and 3.498 at the bottom. We are instructing our Order office to pass an official order to you for the production of these pistons. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
