Modification to the B.II 'M' Series radiator shutter sets and their production rollout.

Coverley - Production Engineer} Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std.1/MH. {M. Huckerby} 14.9.38. Referring to our Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std.1/MH. {M. Huckerby} 4.7.38, the drawing EB.3416 of the B.II 'M' Series radiator shutter sets was altered in accordance with this memo under alteration number 1986 and Messrs. Marstons have now completed the tools for this modification. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std. recently visited their works and inspected the shutter set built to the latest drawing and has confirmed that the alteration has effected the desired fit of stiffener to shutters as well as reducing the centre gap. Messrs. Marstons state that they can introduce the modified shutter set from the 75th. chassis onwards, i.e. after completing 75 sets of shutters, and we have verbally instructed them to do this.
