W.A.Robotham, Esq., Messrs.Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. 23rd June 1937. My dear Robotham, I understand from Conduit Street that I have been allotted 25/30 H.P. chassis GRP.56. I do not want to worry you about my personal affairs, but if you can suggest any-thing that it would be suitable for me to have in the way of experimental stuff on this chassis, I shall be only too pleased to have the advantage of anything of the very latest, and also it might be a case in which you would like, so to speak, to try it on the dog! You know I do keep my mouth shut about these things, and I could either send the car to you at Derby at any time for you to have a look at any experimental part you put on it, or I could always take it to Cricklewood as I am so close, but I leave this in your hands. I am sure Hives will not mind my writing to you personally on this job, and perhaps you would like to show him this letter. I shall look forward to seeing him at the S.B.A.C. Show, and congratulating him myself personally on his popular appointment. Yours sincerely, [Signature] | ||
